Quick overview
Your options
Inside the Tasboh app you control your own data. From
Settings → Account & Privacy you can:
Delete specific data only – e.g. sales, expenses,
inventory movements – while keeping your Tasboh account active.
Delete your entire account – permanently remove your
account profile and all data you own. This cannot be undone.
For security, all deletion actions require you to confirm your
identity using your Tasboh login credentials.
A. Delete specific data (keep your account)
In-app data deletion
Delete selected business data only
If you want to clean up your records but keep your Tasboh account and
subscription active, you can delete only certain types of data from
within the app.
Open the Tasboh app and sign in.
Go to Settings → Account & Privacy → Delete specific data.
Choose your company/store if you manage more than one.
Tick the checkboxes for the data you want to remove
(for example: sales, expenses, purchase orders, inventory movements,
reports).
When prompted, enter the email address of your Tasboh
account to authenticate the request.
Review the summary and tap Delete selected data.
Data you delete this way is removed from your live business workspace.
Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics or records kept for legal and
tax reasons may continue to exist, but they are no longer linked to
your active workspace.
B. Delete your entire account & all data
Permanent account deletion
Close your Tasboh account completely
If you no longer want to use Tasboh, you can permanently delete your
account and the business data that you own. This is a
one-way action.
Open the Tasboh app and sign in with your account.
Navigate to Settings → Account & Privacy → Delete my account.
Read the warnings about permanent deletion and what will be removed.
When prompted, enter your account email and password
to confirm your identity. We may also ask you to re-authenticate if
you logged in a long time ago.
Press Delete account. You will be signed out and the
deletion process will begin.
What happens when you delete your account?
● Your Tasboh user profile is deleted.
● Business data and workspaces that you own are scheduled for
deletion from our primary databases.
● Your subscription is cancelled going forward (where applicable).
● We may retain some limited records for a period of time where
required by law, accounting rules, dispute handling, or security
(for example, payment records or system logs).
C. If you forgot your password or email
Forgot password
Reset your password first
To protect your data, in-app deletion requires you to authenticate
with your current Tasboh credentials. If you forgot your password:
Open the Tasboh app or sign-in page.
Choose “Forgot password?”.
Enter the email address associated with your Tasboh account and
follow the reset link we send you.
After you sign in again with your new password, follow the steps
above to delete specific data or your entire account.
Forgot email / no access
Contact us for manual deletion
If you no longer have access to the email address on your account, or
you are not sure which email was used:
Include enough information so we can verify that you are the
legitimate owner (for example: full name, business/store name,
phone number, approximate last login date, and any subscription or
invoice details you remember).
Our team will review the request, may ask for additional proof if
needed, and then process deletion of the account and/or data that
belongs to you.
For security reasons, we will never delete an account if we cannot
reasonably confirm ownership.
D. What we delete vs. what we may keep
Data handling
Deletion scope
When you request deletion via the app or via support, we will remove:
Your Tasboh user profile and login credentials.
Business data and workspaces that you own (sales, expenses,
inventory, customer and supplier records, documents, and other
operational data stored in Tasboh).
Tokens and configuration related to your account, where technically
possible.
We may continue to retain, for a limited time:
Records we are legally required to keep (for example, financial
transaction or tax documents in some jurisdictions).
System logs, security backups, and anonymised analytics that are not
tied to your active identity.
For more details on how we collect, use, and store data, please refer
to our Privacy Policy.
E. Data Export & Your Rights (DSAR)
Data Subject Access Request
Request a copy of your data
Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to request a copy of all your personal and business data that we hold. This is called a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR).
We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days with your data in a portable, machine-readable format (JSON or CSV).
You can then download, save, or transfer your data to another service.
Data exports include all your sales records, expenses, inventory, customer/supplier data, and metadata.
F. Profile Pictures & Media Files
Media deletion
Profile photos and documents
When you delete your account or specific data:
Profile pictures are removed from Firebase Storage immediately.
Document attachments (invoices, photos, receipts) linked to deleted records are removed.
Backup copies in our offsite backups are purged on their regular retention schedule (typically 30 days).
If you delete specific data (e.g., expenses) but keep your account, attachments related to that data are also deleted.
G. Offline Data & Device Storage
Local data
Data stored on your device
Tasboh can work offline. Your device may cache local copies of data for speed and reliability.
When you request deletion: We flag your data for removal on our servers immediately.
Your local cache: Will be cleared the next time you sign in or sync, or when you uninstall the app.
To manually clear: Go to Settings → Storage → Clear app cache on your device (iOS or Android).
For security, signing out of your account also removes all cached data from your device.
H. Third-Party Services & Integrations
External integrations
Connected services
If you have connected third-party payment or service providers, deletion works as follows:
Stripe / PayPal payments: Transaction records remain with your payment provider for legal and compliance reasons (they handle their own data per their privacy policies).
Custom integrations: Any data synced to external services (e.g., accounting software, CRM) will not be automatically deleted from those services. You may need to request deletion separately from the provider.
Tasboh links: We remove all connections and tokens to these services from our systems.
For questions about deleting data from connected services, contact their support teams directly using their privacy policies.
Timeline & confirmation
How long does deletion take?
Immediate: Your account is deactivated right away; you cannot sign in.
1–7 days: Active data is purged from our primary databases.
30 days: Backup copies are rotated and deleted from archives.
Email confirmation: You will receive an email confirming the deletion is complete.
If you change your mind within 30 days of requesting deletion, contact us immediately at support@tasboh.app to stop the process.
